I have a website using just host web hosting and I recently upgraded to the submission hub – to help improve hits or make my site viewable through the main search engines such as yahoo, msn, ask, altavista, and so on. I tried searching for my site through these engines about two weeks after paying to see if they were submitted, but there were no results. I know that there are keywords that will help improve my chances of having my site appear in the engines list, but what is bothering me is when I input my site’s exact url address in the engines, there are not results or links.
I put “www.123abcmysite.com” in the search engine’s “search box”
I search, nothing appears, no results.
My site should at least appear when searching this way – exact name of site.
If it does not appear, does this mean it was not successfully submitted into the main search engines as the service stated?
*I did contact the help support, but they just went about saying that keywords are important and they could not help me any further…
Thank you all
They should of told you more about the keywords….there are two processes…getting indexed into Google and getting ranked for your keywords…what I will briefly touch on is called SEO or search engine optimization…this is optimizing a page on your website around a single keyword….having Google find that page and rank you in the search engine based on their secret factors….basically it comes down to backlinks….you need more than your competition…enter your keywords into Google and click on the first result….copy that url into the yahoo site explorer and hit enter…click on links > under show inlinks choose except from this website…(this shows only other people linking to them)…in a nutshell…whatever that number is showing you will have to get that many backlinks plus some more to beat them out of the top spot…there is of course more that goes into it than that like the quality of those links…..the PR (page rank) for the main root of the competition site….ww.mainroot.com not www.mainroot/page2.com I recommend visiting the warrior forum to ask these questions…there are a slew of people learning the ropes and experts such as myself on there teaching people the ropes…it’s a free forum so no fees or anything….just checkout the SEO section in the forum and ask this exact question and you will get a flood of answers.
